Responsibilities

n

Position Summary

n

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assists patients in the rehabilitation process through provision of appropriate nursing care as well as carryover of rehabilitation techniques.

n

Duties

n

• n

  Obtains vital signs as directed

  n
n
• n

  Answers call lights promptly and report problems to a primary nurse/designee

  n
n
• n

  Assists with monitoring diets and nutritional supplements, as well as providing appropriate cues to patients for feeding or swallowing once directed by speech or occupational therapist

  n
n
• n

  Assists nurse with patient admissions, transfers and discharges

  n
n

n

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred

  n

• n

  Previous hospital experience preferred

  n
n
• n

  Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate

  n
n
• n

  BLS through the American Heart Association

  n
n
