Role Description:

The Cloud Platform Engineering Lead is responsible for building and evolving the internal cloud platform that enables development teams to deploy and operate applications in a secure, scalable, and compliant environment. This role will oversee the design and management of the shared developer platform, tooling, and cloud services that accelerate product delivery across the enterprise. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain the cloud platform layer, including reusable patterns, secure-by-default templates, and self-service tooling. Act as the technical lead for platform enablement, collaborating with architecture, application, and security teams to streamline cloud adoption. Build and manage IaC modules, CI/CD templates, and deployment workflows that serve as the foundation for app teams. Ensure platform services are easily consumable by developers. Work alongside the Infrastructure & Cloud Operations team to align platform abstractions with underlying cloud infrastructure. Partner with the Security and Compliance to integrate guardrails and policy enforcement. Contribute to cloud governance and modernization strategy. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to application teams as they onboard to the cloud. Skillset: Expertise in platform engineering, or DevOps roles focused on enablement and developer experience. Expert in cloud platform architecture and automation, with deep understanding of AWS and/or Azure. Proficient in Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent IaC tools. Experience designing secure, scalable, and reusable platform services (e.g., landing zones, service catalogs, policy automation).Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, and platform observability tooling. Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across security, infra, and application teams. Ability to translate architectural principles into practical tooling and enablement for developers.
