BBB is seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience managing complex campus planning and urban design projects to join our New York or Boston Office. The role can be supported from either location, with the studio based in New York. Candidates should have expertise in architecture, campus planning, urban design, mixed-use development, and master plans, focusing on programming, space use, adaptive reuse, public realm, resilience, sustainability, mobility, and various building typologies. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary client liaison, managing project schedules, budgets, contracts, and invoicing, and lead the project team daily. Prepare management plans and collaborate with Partners or Principals for project success. Deliver project presentations to clients, stakeholders, community groups, and agencies. Estimate, negotiate fees, define scope, and prepare proposals and contracts. Oversee project teams, including internal staff and consultants. Manage staffing, resource allocation, and delegation of tasks. Develop master plan concepts at various scales, including campus and urban frameworks. Coordinate with related disciplines such as programming, landscape, civil engineering, transportation, and historic preservation. Create project schedules, agendas, meeting minutes, and document processes. Conduct research to inform design and planning strategies. Lead stakeholder engagement and facilitate engagement events. Prepare design and technical drawings, visualizations, and presentation materials. Communicate regularly with project leaders and team members. Apply sustainable and equitable design practices using current technology tools. Lead business development efforts, including proposals and interviews. Minimum Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture (BArch or MArch). 15-25+ years of experience, with a focus on campus planning; additional urban design, development, or master planning experience preferred. At least 5 years in project management. Experience presenting to stakeholder groups and facilitating community engagement. Proven team management skills, including managing internal and external teams. Strong portfolio demonstrating work at urban and multi-building scales. Knowledge of planning, zoning, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management software. Experience with Rhino, ArcGIS, Grasshopper, PowerBI, Photoshop, Enscape; Revit preferred. High-quality visualization skills, both hand and digital. Self-motivated, flexible, resourceful, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Compensation & Benefits
