Commercial Finance Junior Associate Attorney
We are seeking a talented Commercial Finance Junior Associate Attorney to join a growing Corporate Practice Group in Chicago. This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated secured debt transactions and collaborate directly with senior attorneys and clients.
About the Role We are looking for an associate with 2–3 years of experience in commercial finance, including acquisition financing (leveraged finance), agented syndicated secured financings (cash flow or asset‑based), fund finance, and/or healthcare financings. Strong knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC is preferred.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate complex financing documents
Advise clients on acquisition, leveraged, cash flow, fund, and healthcare financings
Collaborate directly with senior attorneys and clients
Manage multiple transactions with precision and attention to detail
Qualifications
2–3 years of commercial finance experience, ideally at a large law firm or boutique finance practice
Knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC; intercreditor and lender agreements a plus
Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Strong academic record
IL Bar admission required (or ability to obtain IL bar shortly)
