This is a fulltime
onsite
position.
Responsibilities
Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets
Visualize, interpret, and report data findings
Create dynamic data reports
Apply knowledge to develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software
Travel up 10%
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience performing Data Scientist related work
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or a High School Diploma and 14+ years of data scientist experience, or an Associate’s degree and 12+ years of data scientist experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
Ability to conduct briefings to Senior Military & Civil Service personnel
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience supporting NAVAIR programs or related organizations
2+ years of experience with utilization of the Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM) simulation model
Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) organization and operations
Familiarity with NAVAIR Acquisition process
Clearance Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess and active or current Secret clearance
Physical Requirements
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
