Strategic Sourcing Manager – Indirect
Location:
Hybrid – 4 days per week on-site in Columbus, OH.
Overview The Procurement Manager leads a team of procurement professionals managing Direct or Indirect Procurement categories. The role focuses on developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating supplier contracts, and fostering supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency, supply continuity, and innovation. The position plays a critical role in driving savings, ensuring operational excellence, and enabling organizational growth by managing strategic supplier partnerships and procurement programs globally and nationally within the US.
Responsibilities
Lead category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management across assigned Direct or Indirect Procurement categories, to ensure consistent supply and long‑term value creation.
Develop and implement category strategies in collaboration with business stakeholders and leadership to maximize value and minimize cost. Incorporate market trends, spend analysis, and supplier performance data to drive cost savings and service improvements.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a team of buyers and senior buyers who are leading day‑to‑day supplier relationships, to build procurement capabilities and deliver against Procurement & Safelite business objectives and goals.
Coordinate across Safelite functional teams to include procurement planning into broader company initiatives, supporting business growth and other priority initiatives through product and service offerings via current and new supplier base.
Manage annual RFPs, RFIs, supplier negotiations, and contract agreements to secure favorable terms, ensure supply, and mitigate business risk.
Champion supplier consolidation, standardization initiatives, and compliance programs to improve operational efficiency and procurement process excellence.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or related field (Required).
Procurement, negotiation, or supply chain certification (Preferred).
7–10 years of Procurement, purchasing, or sourcing experience in Direct or Indirect spend categories (Required).
1–2 years of supervisory experience leading Procurement professionals (Required).
Experience working in a global environment with domestic & international suppliers (Preferred).
Negotiation, supplier relationship management, and cost savings expertise (Preferred).
Strategic supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
Team leadership, coaching, and people management in a fast‑paced environment.
Analytical skills: spend analysis, cost modeling, and data interpretation.
Ability to develop and implement procurement category strategies.
Communication & collaboration: verbal, written, and presentation skills for engaging internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Time management and organization, multi‑tasking ability.
Knowledge of procurement processes, contract legal terms, high‑value supplier spend negotiations, sourcing execution.
Customer service orientation with cross‑functional teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office‑based software applications.
Financial acumen (purchase variance, AP, accrual P&L management).
