Job summary: The 1824 Groups & Operations Director is a key leader of the ministry for 18-24 year olds at Crossroads. They help create and execute strategy to reach thousands of 18-24 year olds as a church. This position is responsible for growing our Crossroads ministry for 18-24 year olds in a way that meets people where they are, operates inside Crossroads culture, DNA, and systems, and pioneers new ground for Crossroads. They oversee the experiences, marketing, and groups for 18-24 year olds. Alongside the 1824 Director they will identify key areas for ministry growth and develop key leaders to reach this next generation. They will create, lead, and implement products for ministry development alongside additional teammates to expand the impact of this ministry and engage 18-24 year olds in the 7 proven practices.

This Position Is Specifically Focused On

Growing the ministry – building products, growing groups, experiences and defining high-level strategy of how each product works together

Growing the reach – connecting seekers, defining messaging/brand, marketing, user journey

Growing the people – team health, discipleship, retention and leaders

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Helps refine the ministry model and builds out the key experiences for the ministry to reach seekers, connect them to growing Christ followers, and mobilize them to change the world (all in a culturally current way and within Crossroads).

Build and grow a system for 1824 groups centrally & at sites for college students & young adults to experience community and growth.

Develops marketing strategy, products, and relationships to reach 18-24 year olds where they are online and in person.

Ensures the ministry has opportunities and systems/processes to move 18-24 year olds through the 7 proven practices.

Collaborates across ministries (ET, Leader Academy, Ministry Teams, The George, Sites, etc) to create opportunities for 18-24 year olds to be engaged in immersive experiences to meet Jesus and be grown spiritually.

Responsible for overseeing the budget so that all ministry and resources are stewarded efficiently and effectively.

Builds relationships with 18-24 year olds to care for, guide, and lead the people the ministry seeks to reach to become kingdom leaders.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Physical Requirements

Must be able to walk up to 3 miles

Able to lift 25 lbs.

Scheduling/Travel Requirements

Some travel for events, training, etc.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and other high impact events at Crossroads or for 1824

40 hours / week
