Overview

The actual hourly rate is based on factors including skills, education, licenses/certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. The monthly rate for this position ranges from $8,279.00 to $11,035.00. Job Responsibilities
Cost Plan Development and Analysis: use the cost and schedule plan to determine if project objectives are achievable; create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets; prepare various cost reports and forecast accuracy; prepare project performance analysis, cost, and schedule status reports; identify variances and recommend corrective action; assess and report on project performance using established industry standards; ensure responses to budget, GRC or FERC cost requests reflect accurate and current information; provide regular communication on project cost, schedule and risk status to project team members and stakeholders; interface with design and planning resources and software systems; assist in routing Advance Authorizations, Job Estimates and Re-Authorizations; prepare journal entries and coordinate goods receipts; input data into programs and prepare cost/forecast reports. Project Documentation & Reporting: verify cost and schedule Milestones, manage orders from inception to completion with required documentation; resolve open items and ensure compliance requirements are met; maintain scope change, contingency release, change order, and journal entry logs; maintain project documentation and records; document change order requests, project status, risks and resolutions; provide monthly cost/schedule variance reports to the Project Manager; provide current status reports to the Project Team; comply with Utility Operations Policies, Standards and Guidelines; assist PM with Post Job Critique. Special Projects: fulfill ad-hoc cost-related data requests; participate in process improvement initiatives within Project Management. Central Financial Analysis Functions: monitor and report project budget and cycle forecast; prepare monthly/weekly performance reports using SAP/BW and EPM; coordinate with stakeholders to create new reports; summarize forecast variance explanations for stakeholders; ensure accuracy of budget/cost information in responses; post and update project performance, budget, and status on the Project Management website. Financial and Performance Management: monitor, analyze, and report on forecasting performance with weekly reports; analyze monthly financial results and explain drivers to PM Leadership (e.g., Green-Red Scorecard, Lessons Learned). Schedule Development and Analysis: collaborate with Project Manager to develop schedules and cash flow/forecast plans; attend kickoff and walk-down meetings; create and maintain schedules; monitor milestones and risks; participate in project status meetings; manage progress data and revise plans; use SAP Project System, SAP Work Management System, and Primavera P6 for scheduling. Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 1 year of experience in electric or gas transmission or distribution business operations, business planning, accounting, finance, construction management, or project management at PG&E; OR 2 years of related experience if hired externally Desired: Experience with SAP Work Management, BPC, Planning Orders, BW; knowledge of Unifier, ProjectWise, HeavyBid Ability to lead and remove obstacles, interpret financial indicators for decision making Ability to interpret complex data to solve problems; knowledge of mathematics as needed; familiarity with project management theories and tools Proficiency in Primavera P6; MS Excel (macros knowledge preferred) Project Controls or Construction Management experience; risk management and earned value experience; budgeting knowledge CAPM or PMP certification; willingness to travel; onsite construction experience Experience with SPSI reporting Seniorities & Employment
