Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric and Power BI)
Join Komline-Harn as a Data Engineer focused on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This role is key to building a Business Intelligence platform that harnesses enterprise data for strategic insights.
Base Pay Range $70,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year

Role and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources.
Implement and optimize data storage solutions with Azure Data Lake, OneLake, and Data Warehouses to maximize performance and accessibility.
Develop and maintain semantic data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.
Build and refine Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business intelligence needs.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to design and implement user‑friendly reporting solutions.
Implement row‑level security (RLS) and governance measures in Power BI.
Monitor and manage Fabric Capacity Metrics to optimize data infrastructure performance.
Leverage Microsoft Purview for data governance and metadata management.
Maintain data quality and integrity, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards.
Work with Komline data SMEs to translate business requirements into data solutions.
Provide training and best practices for end‑users on Power BI and self‑service analytics.
Continuously improve data processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Fabric tools (Data Pipelines, OneLake, Data Warehouses, Azure Data Lake).
Hands‑on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and the Power BI Service.
Expertise in SQL and data modeling, with a track record of designing efficient, scalable data structures.
Ability to develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
Experience working with stakeholders to define reporting and analytics requirements.
Microsoft DP‑600 or DP‑700 certification (Fabric Analytics Engineer or Data Analyst).
Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
Nice to Have
Familiarity with data governance tools like Microsoft Purview.
Strong understanding of data security, access control, and compliance best practices.
Excellent customer engagement and collaboration skills.
