Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic, results‑oriented Global IT Director to lead the company’s worldwide IT strategy and operations. This pivotal role will define and execute the IT roadmap, ensuring technology solutions support business growth, operational excellence, and innovation.
The Global IT Director will align IT initiatives with organizational objectives, driving efficiency and enabling competitive advantage across manufacturing, sales, and distribution environments. The role requires a leader with a deep understanding of the IT landscape— including applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end‑user support—and the ability to translate business needs into scalable, reliable technology solutions.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands‑on executive who combines strategic vision with operational discipline. With experience managing global IT operations, this leader will foster innovation, leverage advanced technologies such as data analytics and AI, and deliver transformative solutions that enhance performance across the enterprise.
This role will play a critical role in safeguarding the company's operational integrity and mitigating risks, ingraining "compliance by design" culture. It will report directly to the President of the company.
Responsibilities
Global IT Operations Leadership: Oversee the day‑to‑day management of IT operations across a multinational enterprise, ensuring stability, scalability, and reliability of core systems, infrastructure, and end‑user services.
SAP Ownership: Lead SAP and S/4HANA system operations, integrations, and user support, ensuring system availability, security, and alignment with business processes across manufacturing, distribution, and finance.
SOX & Audit Readiness: Own IT SOX controls, manage remediation of deficiencies and material weaknesses, and serve as the key liaison with internal and external auditors.
Risk & Controls Management: Design, implement, and monitor IT and application controls to safeguard financial reporting, business data, and technology infrastructure.
Infrastructure & Cloud Oversight: Manage global infrastructure (networks, servers, endpoints, cloud, M365/Azure) to ensure business continuity, data integrity, and cybersecurity resilience.
Incident Response & Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to support uninterrupted global operations.
Vendor & Resource Management: Manage IT budgets, vendor contracts, and service providers, ensuring optimal value, performance, and compliance.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Operations, Compliance, and other business leaders to align IT services with organizational priorities and regulatory obligations.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a global IT team, fostering a culture of operational discipline, compliance awareness, and customer‑centric service.
Travel: Support global sites with occasional international and domestic travel.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree (MBA/MSc) preferred.
15+ years of IT management experience in a multinational/publicly traded company, including 5+ years leading global IT operations.
7+ years of SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) expertise, with experience supporting Finance and Operations.
Proven track record of IT SOX compliance ownership, working directly with auditors, remediating deficiencies, and maintaining effective internal controls.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and risk management, with experience implementing and monitoring IT controls.
Strong background in enterprise IT infrastructure (cloud, networks, servers, endpoint management, helpdesk operations).
Demonstrated ability to manage large‑scale IT budgets, vendor negotiations, and enterprise technology contracts.
Professional certifications strongly preferred: CISA, CISSP, CPA, or equivalent.
Experience with GRC tools, ERP systems, IGA, and reporting platforms.
Excellent communication skills, with ability to present technical and compliance issues clearly to executives and auditors.
Ability to support non‑standard business hours for a global company.
Results‑driven with a strong ability to execute while balancing strategy and operations.
