Job Overview The primary role of the Footwear Merchandise Planning Costing Manager is to manage and evolve Brooks’ Footwear Margin Strategy. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining margin and planning tools that streamline costing processes and support the execution of the Footwear product line plan.
Your Responsibilities
Lead the development and biannual presentation of the Footwear 5-Year Go-In Margin Report.
Own the seasonal execution and delivery of Go-In Margin Reports across key product development milestones.
Set seasonal target FOBs and margin goals for new styles, aligning with seasonal margin objectives and business goals.
Conduct competitive margin and costing analysis to inform and evolve the Footwear Margin Strategy.
Partner with Finance to analyze Footwear COGS and identify FOB trends, supporting KPI indices.
Ensure data governance and seasonal alignment with the Merch Financial Plan.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including seasonal costing assumptions, go-in margins (GIM), and product FOBs.
Develop and present detailed business performance reports to senior leadership.
Continuously monitor market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and financial performance.
Collaborate with the Director of Merchandise Planning and Asia Costing leadership on seasonal costing assumptions and key cost drivers.
Lead deep dive analyses on FOB discrepancies between prototype and final rounds.
Create and manage seasonal FOB KPI tools to support margin optimization.
Influence costing and optimization strategies across Product, Sourcing, and Liaison Costing teams.
Support seasonal margin reporting and forecasting, contributing to continuous improvement of tools and analytics.
Implement training and systems that enhance team understanding of costing impacts.
Engage in cross‑functional conversations across global teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance, Product Costing, or Strategic Planning.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Footwear Business.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire trust and foster effective cross‑functional relationships.
Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution.
Proficiency in Smartsheet; experience with Adaptive, Tableau, and Power BI is a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated initiative and innovation in process improvement and strategic thinking.
Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities is a plus.

Compensation The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $114,944 – $172,469 per year. Base pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
