LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a skilled

Senior Data AI/ML Engineer

for a mature, data‑driven organization in a regulated industry. In this role, you’ll turn high‑value use cases into production systems that improve customer experience, reduce risk, and streamline operations. Expect to partner closely with product owners, data scientists, and engineers to design, build, and operate AI/ML apps that scale.

Company is open to fully remote candidates that reside in the following states: WA, OR, ID, OH, SC, TX, FL.

What you’ll do:

Shape technical designs from business requirements; lead workshops to clarify use cases and success metrics.

Build AI applications using RAG patterns; integrate existing foundation models (e.g., Azure OpenAI) into secure, reliable services.

Own Databricks lakehouse patterns (governance, multi‑environment workspaces) and optimize performance.

Develop resilient data pipelines (batch & streaming) with Spark; implement Delta/DLT, table design, and medallion‑style layering.

Establish MLOps (CI/CD, model registry, automated deploys, monitoring, rollback, and observability).

Use MLflow for experiment tracking and reproducibility; instrument logging for AI/ML performance.

Tune SQL and Spark jobs; troubleshoot incidents and drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate in agile sprints, iterate quickly, and navigate change comfortably.

Requirements:

5+ years of hands‑on experience building applications on Azure and Databricks, with strong software engineering fundamentals.

Proven ability to leverage existing models and integrate them into scalable systems (APIs, services, orchestration).

Deep familiarity with Databricks features (Delta, DLT, MLflow) and Azure services (Data/ML tooling; experience with Azure OpenAI is a plus).

Practical MLOps experience: CI/CD for ML, infrastructure‑as‑code, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

Clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills with both technical and business teams.

Industry experience in insurance or financial‑services domains is beneficial but not required—technical acumen and curiosity matter most.

Greenfield + modernization mix: opportunity to shape patterns and raise the bar on AI/ML delivery.

High visibility, pragmatic scope, and supportive peers who value rapid iteration and measurable outcomes.

Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance

3 weeks of PTO + 10 preloaded sick days, and 8 paid holidays

Education assistance and other perks

Greater Seattle area target pay range: $150k-$205k.
