Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood , is looking for an
Accounting Manager/Charge Bookkeeper
to own day-to-day accounting and human resources operations. This position is
100% On Site .
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records and
general ledger activity
for five entities/divisions (one main, four smaller that do a consolidated annual report)
Manage
accounts receivable , cash application, and monitor aging as needed
Support
accounts payable workflows
and payment processing
Prepare and post
journal entries , supporting schedules, and documentation
Lead
month-end close , including reconciliations (bank, credit cards, balance sheet accounts)
Prepare
monthly financial statements and reporting packages
for each entity/division
Coordinate with a
third-party payroll provider
(processing support, reporting, GL coding/recording)
Support compliance-related filings as assigned (including
monthly/quarterly SALT , where applicable)
Maintain organized documentation and ensure consistent processes across entities
Help run a lean team, including
human resources
support
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA and Master’s preferred, not required)
5–7+ years
of progressive bookkeeping/accounting experience (multi-entity experience strongly preferred)
Strong grasp of
GAAP fundamentals
and financial statement preparation
Proven experience with
reconciliations, month-end close , and core accounting operations
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and exceptionally detail-oriented
Comfortable working with external vendors/providers (especially payroll) and maintaining clear documentation
Location & Salary Seattle, WA – Salary range: $140,000.00–$165,000.00 (for role). 100% On Site.
