Responsibilities Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various tax compliance and consulting services, primarily to private wealth and flow-through clients:
Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S‑corporations, partnerships, individuals, and corporations ranging from middle‑market to multinational companies.
Participate in tax research projects on a variety of tax issues, help to draft IRS responses, and address other tax authority inquiries.
Collaborate with leaders on special projects in various areas of tax.
Develop recommendations for the client to consider, share with leadership, and discuss strategy.
Communicate and team with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters in state and local, high‑net‑worth, international, research and development, credits, and incentives areas.
Learn and grow from direct on‑the‑job coaching and mentoring, and participate in firm‑wide learning and development programs.
Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with clients.
Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.
Enjoy friendships, social activities and team outings that encourage a work‑life balance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or law, or a related business degree, and sufficient coursework and credits to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state of consideration.
CPA, EA, or JD license preferred.
Two (2)+ years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm.
Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills, initiative, and adaptability.
Microsoft Suite skills, including highly developed software proficiency.
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
The compensation range for this role is $67,880 to $128,690. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
