Are you a hands-on engineering leader who takes pride in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-operated property? We’re looking for a
Chief Engineer
to join our team and oversee all aspects of hotel engineering and maintenance operations. In this key leadership role, you’ll guide the engineering team, ensure the integrity and functionality of all building systems, and support an exceptional guest experience—all while maintaining flexible availability to meet the needs of the property.
Responsibilities
Lead, train, and support the engineering team while maintaining a strong hands-on presence in daily maintenance operations.
Oversee preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, mechanical systems, and building equipment.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of engineering-related issues.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, life-safety systems, and local, state, and federal regulations.
Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and capital improvement projects while maintaining budget guidelines.
Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to support seamless hotel operations.
Conduct regular property inspections to identify issues, implement solutions, and maintain high-quality standards.
Maintain detailed documentation, daily logs, and reports related to engineering activity and property systems.

Requirements
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and guest services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle difficult situations and maintain professionalism
High school education preferred; relevant training and experience required
Previous experience in a hotel environment preferred
Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
Ability to obtain required licenses and certificates
Additional language ability preferred
CPR and first aid training preferred
