Job Title: Drywall Estimator
Location: New York City (Brooklyn)
Employment Type: Full-time, In-Office
Compensation: $100,000–$140,000 base salary (DOE) plus bonuses.
About the Role A leading commercial interiors contractor is seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to join their growing team. This position is fully in-office and focuses on detailed, hands‑on estimating work for a variety of commercial drywall projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical proficiency, a background in drywall and framing estimating, and comfort working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive takeoffs for drywall framing, equipment and materials, wallboard and plasterboard, and custom millwork
Prepare accurate, competitive estimates using PlanSwift and OnScreen Takeoff
Participate in daily bid reviews and client scope meetings
Collaborate with project teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment between estimating and project requirements
Support the preparation of bid proposals and documentation as needed
Occasionally conduct site visits, though this role is primarily in-office
Required Qualifications
Prior experience in drywall estimating is required
Proficiency with PlanSwift and OnScreen Takeoff
Strong understanding of materials, labor, and construction methodologies related to drywall and interior framing
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team‑oriented environment
Strong organizational and analytical skills
