Acquire and maintain an advanced level of clinical‑scientific knowledge in the anemia and CKD landscape and other disease states related to Akebia’s products, while maintaining a basic level of knowledge about the broader portfolio. Identify and engage appropriate Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Key Medical Experts (KMEs), and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in the renal/nephrology space to develop professional relationships and exchange clinical‑scientific information. Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health‑economic data, gathering new information as it applies to the products and therapeutic interests. Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy‑aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference interactions. Respond to unsolicited requests regarding Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) within the ISS program and support submissions through internal review and approval processes. Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g., HCPs, managed‑care organizations, dialysis organizations, specialty pharmacies). Collaborate with Akebia’s clinical team to coordinate and optimize educational and research support for sites and investigators participating in clinical trials. Identify educational needs within the medical community around anemia in CKD management. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies in all aspects of scientific dissemination of information. Attend scientific and medical meetings. Basic Qualifications

Advanced clinical or medical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA, or equivalent). At least 3 years of MSL experience in the renal/nephrology space. Strong clinical and pharmaceutical background with CKD/nephrology. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills. Strong strategic thinking, negotiation abilities, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally. Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure in a highly regulated environment. Travel 50‑60%. Preferred Qualifications

Advanced knowledge and experience within Dialysis Organizations (DOs). Compensation

Targeted Base: $169,875 – $209,846. Base compensation depends on qualifications, skills, and experience. Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, corporate bonus program, incentive compensation, and equity. About Akebia
