Senior Engineer
to support design and consulting for hydroelectrical power plants in
Portland, Oregon . The role offers a hybrid work environment, requiring at least three days in the office per week.
Salary:
$105,000–$150,000 per year (based on experience)
Who You Are An
EIT or PE
with a
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
and at least five years of experience. You are relationship‑focused, building lasting client relationships and solving complex engineering challenges. You work effectively with multidisciplinary teams from analysis through construction. You possess strong oral and written communication skills, are self‑motivated and growth‑oriented.
You have a base in hydroelectric design and preferably experience with wide‑area multi‑plant SCADA systems, condition monitoring, or Battery Energy Storage System design.
Additional Requirements
Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
About The Position Kleinschmidt electrical engineers design hydropower plant modernizations, fish‑passage automation, and GSU substations. Engineers support clients by writing procurement specifications, performing design reviews, attending commissioning, and providing onsite construction support. They also perform power‑system analysis such as short‑circuit calculations, power‑flow analysis, overcurrent device coordination, and arc‑flash incident‑energy analysis.
