As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will serve as the lead for securing modernization initiatives across the enterprise. This role is responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining robust cybersecurity solutions that ensure compliance with DoD standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and mission partners to proactively integrate cybersecurity across architecture.
Location: Los Angeles SFB. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.
Responsibilities
Serve as the security engineer representative on systems engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, IA architectures, systems/systems components, enclave environments, and operations maintenance with system and network administration responsibilities.
Implement cybersecurity requirements aligned to overall architecture.
Design, develop, and test standardized IaC/CaC across BIM.
Provide Tier 3 engineering services.
Maintain, configure, and analyze network and host‑based security platforms.
Use command‑line level activities to configure, troubleshoot, analyze, and navigate system‑level actions.
Assign access level and/or privileges based on user’s need to know.
Enforce enterprise‑level established security policies.
Conduct vulnerability scanning and analysis of systems and tools.
Formulate and implement security certification methods for BIM Task Order.
Material & Equipment Directly Used
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Experience working with DoD or USG programs.
Working Environment Office environment with potential to support austere locations.
Physical Activities Must be able to lift / carry 50 lbs.
Qualifications Education / Certifications
Technical BA / BS Degree; or
High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
DoD 8140.01 Intermediate compliant, IAM Level III, CISSP, and CISM.
Experience / Skills
7 years with BA / BS Degree; or
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer for large, complex programs/systems with a High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
Clearance Requirement
This position requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret (Tier 3) level clearance.
Skills & Technology Used
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Experience working with DoD or USG programs.
