CGI Federal is seeking a Senior Automation Tester to support the Social Security Administration. We are looking for a professional with strong experience in Parasoft, Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Selenium, Gherkin, Cucumber, Spring Boot, Ready API, Git, Bitbucket, and Mobile Testing across various platforms and browsers.

Woodlawn, MD (On-site, 5 days a week)

Responsibilities

Test web applications using software engineering best practices and the latest technologies.

Provide testing and debugging of REST APIs implemented with Java and Spring Boot within the automation test framework.

Perform UI test automation of Angular applications using the Cucumber BDD framework.

Support programming and design of Test Automation frameworks with Java, NodeJS, and other open source technologies.

Implement test automation frameworks with a focus on reusable design patterns across multiple applications.

Design and develop automation frameworks for native and hybrid mobile applications.

Support mobile testing across various platforms and browsers.

Collaborate on an Agile development team.

Brief management, customers, team members, or vendors using written or oral communication at the appropriate technical level for the audience.

Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience in a training‑related field or bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in a training‑related field.

8+ years of experience with Selenium, Gherkin, and Ready API.

8+ years of experience testing and debugging REST APIs implemented with Java and Spring Boot within an automation test framework.

8+ years of experience in UI test automation of Angular applications using the Cucumber BDD framework.

Experience using Parasoft.

Highly proficient at programming and designing Test Automation with Java, NodeJS, and other open source technologies.

Highly proficient in implementing test automation frameworks focused on reusable design patterns across multiple applications.

Expert in designing and developing automation frameworks for native and hybrid mobile applications.

5+ years of experience on an Agile development team.

5+ years of combined experience with Git, Bitbucket, and mobile testing.

Strong experience with BDD (Behavior‑Driven Development) methodology, including creating feature files and step definitions using Cucumber in an automation framework.

Strong experience using Selenium for web application testing and automating regression test cases with Selenium WebDriver in TypeScript and Java.

Strong experience with Ready API/Swagger/Postman and REST Assured for REST API automation testing.

Well‑versed in mobile testing with open source technologies such as Appium, Selendroid, iOS Driver, and UI Automator.

Strong experience with Java, TypeScript, and testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito.

Strong experience with Git, Bitbucket, Maven, npm, Grunt, and Jenkins using a CI/CD pipeline.

Proficient in managing test data and writing/executing SQL queries for data validation.

Comprehensive knowledge and involvement in Scrum and Kanban Agile development processes, including ceremonies (scrums, planning events, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and de).

Desired Qualifications / Non‑essential Skills

Experience in integration testing of hybrid applications with UI, middleware, and backend systems across multiple environments such as cloud, mainframe, and databases.

Proficiency in using Selenium Box for parallel execution of an automation regression suite.

Experience with Agile or Jira or TFS project/test management tools.

Good knowledge of JSON data structures.

Experience configuring and executing automated regression suites using Jenkins CI/CD pipeline.

Demonstrated ability to work independently without technical oversight.

Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Compensation Range A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 - $176,300.00.
