Vascular Access Nurse Consultant - PICC RN VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers.

Job Description As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. This role offers the chance to reduce long shifts and improve quality of care.

Key Responsibilities

Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs with ultrasound guidance and ECG confirmation.

Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices.

Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including port access, removal of lines, declotting, and more.

Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and other cardiovascular access devices.

Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment, based on prior vascular access experience.

Nurse Consultant Qualifications

Registered Nurse with current license.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in acute care (preferred).

American Heart BLS Certification.

Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs.

Experience placing vascular access devices using ultrasound.

Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Ability to work independently.

Fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification.

Possess a current and valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Must possess a smartphone.

Access to reliable transportation for travel to patient sites.

Compensation Hourly Pay Range: $50 USD - $70 USD. Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
