Manufacturing Assembly Technician II (2nd Shift), Amazon Leo Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network that delivers fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. We are assembling a full‑scale production line for the Leo satellite constellation and need talented technicians who thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations

Assemble and test an assortment of avionic LRUs, electrical‑mechanical assemblies, fiber‑optic components, and PCBAs with an emphasis on detail

Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, support preventative maintenance on test equipment and data acquisition systems

Identify equipment requirements, implement process improvements, and maintain floor‑stock inventory

Execute and prioritize work independently to meet company deliverables

Perform component and system‑level test procedures

Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc.

Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures

Candidates must be 18 years or older and able to understand and comply with all job requirements and safety guidelines.

Schedule Second Shift: 4/10s Sun‑Wednesday 5:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Compensation and Benefits Starting pay in Washington State: up to $33.50 per hour. Employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and other benefits are provided in accordance with the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay is based on market location.

Export Control Requirement Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Day in the Life We are a team of technicians with 20+ years of diverse skills. Team members collaborate on individual and group tasks to meet production goals while fostering a positive team environment. The team is transitioning from research and development toward full production.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

1+ years in a high‑traceability manufacturing environment or relevant trade school certification

1+ years of hand‑tool experience (e.g., calipers, multimeters, torque wrenches)

1+ years working with test tools and methods that adequately validate the system

Preferred Qualifications

A&P certification/license (Aircraft & Powerplant) or prior telecom (fiber optics) experience

CFOT certification or equivalent experience

Airman or Avionic certification or equivalent experience (ASE certification)

Experience in a fast‑paced production environment with flight hardware

Proficiency with precision measuring instruments

1+ years reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings

Experience with FOD, ESD‑sensitive hardware, and clean‑room requirements

1+ years of electro‑mechanical assembly, final integration, and/or harness integration

Strong teamwork and adaptability in a high‑paced, challenging work environment
