Project Manager - Ground up Mixed Commercial Construction
Looking for an experienced construction Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience in ground up mixed commercial construction to join a top General Contractor in Georgia for upcoming projects.
Our client is a growing General Contractor with 25+ years of experience in mixed commercial working on light industrial, office, higher education, K12, and multifamily projects. The company has a healthy pipeline of repeat clients.
Responsibilities
Overall project administration, leadership, and technical direction of ground up projects.
Direct lead for estimating and take‑offs.
Handle all project buyouts within the designated time frame.
Review project submittals for conformance to contract documents from subcontractors.
Direction of all RFIs and submittals requested.
Develop and maintain site logistics plans.
Manage special inspection schedules.
Work directly with architects, engineers and municipalities to ensure plans are designed per owner specifications and value‑engineered.
Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short‑term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
Review daily reports and safety inspections from onsite superintendents.
Organize, attend, participate in, and lead project meetings, including subcontractor meetings on pre‑construction, scope, scheduling, safety, etc.
Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.).
Manage and multitask multiple projects at a time.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, CAD files, and municipal code and requirements.
Qualifications
Ground up commercial construction experience preferred.
Technical degree level education in construction or a related field.
5+ years of experience working in the construction industry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge in construction management or a related field required.
Mixed commercial construction experience preferred.
