Senior Electrical Power Engineer (EPS) – Lunar Missions
We are hiring a Senior Electrical Power Engineer to design and develop Electrical Power Systems (EPS) for lunar missions. In this role, you will own power architecture, high-voltage distribution, and harnessing for battery-powered systems that demand efficient conversion and robust power delivery in extreme environments. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and key suppliers to deliver flight-ready power solutions in a fast-paced development setting.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop EPS for Class A and other lunar missions
Define power architecture, distribution, protection, and high-voltage harnessing approaches
Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to meet program performance and reliability needs
Collaborate with vendors to select, improve, and integrate EPS-related components into vehicle systems
Work with IPT leads, program management, and systems engineering to generate, evolve, and manage requirements, specifications, and power budgets
Serve as a technical point of contact for the electrical power system across internal teams and suppliers
Support verification and validation planning, integration, troubleshooting, and test execution
Required Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
5+ years of relevant experience as a power engineer
Proven design experience in high-voltage DC systems
Experience with power distribution systems up to or exceeding 100 kW
Experience with high-voltage wiring harnesses and power distribution
Familiarity with EPS elements including solar arrays, batteries, high-efficiency DC-DC converters, and interconnects
Hands‑on troubleshooting and testing experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, signal generators, etc.)
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
Self‑motivated and comfortable working to aggressive deadlines
U.S. Person
Preferred Qualifications
MS in Electrical Engineering with a power engineering focus
Experience designing and qualifying radiation-tolerant and space-rated power solutions
Experience designing, simulating, and optimizing converter topologies (buck, boost, buck‑boost, flyback, etc.)
Experience designing power filters for low‑noise outputs and power line EMC
Familiarity with aerospace standards
