$70,000.00/yr – $85,000.00/yr About the role

You will design and build simple structural parts, mechanical mechanisms, electrical circuits, and cable harnesses with Prototyping Technicians to accelerate prototype development. You will support PCB bring‑up, validate sensors, actuators, and electrical subsystems, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems engineers. You will also operate a pick‑and‑place machine, write simple firmware and test scripts, and assist with debugging and testing of prototype systems. Responsibilities

Create simple wiring diagrams, cable harness drawings, and electrical documentation. Build and oversee wire harness fabrication, routing, and labeling. Design simple load‑carrying structures and mechanical mechanisms in CAD. Perform limited FEA analysis prior to prototype build. Support power distribution layout, integration, and buildout for prototype systems. Select electrical components, connectors, sensors, and electromechanical hardware. Operate a pick‑and‑place machine to support prototype PCB assembly. Assist with PCB firmware and electrical bring‑up, including testing and rework. Validate sensors, actuators, and electrical components across subsystems. Support bring‑up of new and legacy electromechanical systems. Write and modify simple firmware and test scripts to support system verification. Support bench and prototype testing, debugging, and electrical verification activities. Qualifications

2–5 years of hands‑on engineering experience, including projects, internships, or early‑career roles. Basic understanding of wiring, sensors, power systems, embedded systems, and electromechanical hardware. Familiarity with wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings. Ability to use CAD software for simple mechanical design and analysis. Comfortable with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering tools. Experience with the Linux command line and willingness to learn new software tools. Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and electromechanical subsystems. Ability to collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, technicians, and system integration teams. Excellent communication and documentation skills in a fast‑paced development environment. B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field (preferred). Nice to have / Ideal candidate

Experience building a project or product from 0 to 1, including design, component selection, build, test, and documentation. Compensation and Benefits
