Phlebotomist II Float – Mission Viejo, CA Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends.

Overview We are seeking a licensed Phlebotomist II Floater to work in varying patient centers. No two days will be the same; you will shift frequently and serve diverse patient populations. Required: State phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV).

Pay & Benefits Pay range: $25.30 – $30.15 per hour. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

Cover assigned territory within a patient service center, doctor's office, or as business needs dictate.

Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.

Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screenings and insurance exams.

Enter billing information and collect payment when required.

Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees; act as point of contact to on‑site staff and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.

Travel to additional doctor’s office or patient service center sites when needed.

Qualifications Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Minimum 2 years in a patient service center environment preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.

The position requires the ability to communicate effectively in English.
