STEM Implementation Coach, K-5 Math (Northern California) Location:

MOGEL, on behalf of a leading multi-million edtech organization in the K-12 space, is seeking an experienced STEM Implementation Coach with deep expertise in mathematics instruction and problem-based learning methodologies. This role serves as a dedicated partner to districts implementing STEM and math programs, ensuring high-quality adoption, effective professional learning, and long-term instructional impact. You will deliver standards-aligned professional development, provide ongoing coaching, and build strong district partnerships to support successful curriculum implementation. Your work will directly influence teacher capacity, instructional consistency, and student achievement across K–5 math programs.

Responsibilities

Provide hands‑on implementation support for district partners using core math curricula.

Deliver high‑quality, standards‑aligned professional learning for educators and instructional leaders — both onsite and virtually.

Serve as embedded instructional support within designated districts, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful math program adoption.

Collaborate with the Professional Learning leadership team to align implementation strategy with district objectives and internal priorities.

Work cross‑functionally with Customer Success, Curriculum, and Professional Learning teams to ensure coordinated planning and delivery.

Apply deep content expertise in problem‑based learning to customize coaching, conversations, and training across the K–5 math continuum.

Identify instructional barriers and provide ongoing consultation to strengthen fidelity, consistency, and long‑term program success.

Develop and manage comprehensive math implementation plans aligned to district goals, certification paths, and instructional priorities.

Monitor program delivery and adjust plans to ensure quality and impact across all training sessions.

Coordinate scheduling and logistics to ensure timely and resource‑efficient professional learning.

Leverage internal resources to support training, certification, and educator coaching.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree in math education, science education, curriculum and instruction, or related STEM field strongly preferred.

5+ years of K–12 classroom teaching experience in mathematics.

5+ years of experience coaching or mentoring educators in math instruction.

Experience with K‑5 math programs, including Illustrative Mathematics or Imagine IM.

Current or prior teaching certification strongly preferred.

Expertise in problem‑based learning with proven success applying it in math instruction.

Experience delivering high‑impact professional development or consulting services in educational settings.

Strong curriculum and instructional leadership experience, with the ability to influence educators and district decision‑makers.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills.

Highly organized, self‑directed, and able to manage multiple priorities with shifting timelines.

Collaborative, solutions‑oriented, and committed to high‑quality outcomes.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Zoom/Teams; Salesforce or cloud‑based EdTech platforms preferred.

Ability to provide a fingerprint clearance card or proof of application within 7 days of hire.
