MRI Technologist - $40,000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE

Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager and/or Coordinator, you will perform a wide variety of technical and professional duties using complex imaging equipment to produce high‑quality MRI images for subsequent interpretation by the radiologist. All duties are performed according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures, and you will demonstrate exceptional service excellence in all interactions as outlined in the Standards of Professional Behavior. To meet the staffing needs of the department, you may be assigned at any of the YNHH MRI locations, regardless of your regularly assigned work location.

Responsibilities
Performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex diagnostic imaging equipment. Efficiently follows routine protocols, demonstrates independent judgment, and minimizes inactive scanner utilization.
Provides quality and compassionate patient care to ensure cooperation, safety, and satisfaction. Demonstrates 100% accuracy on safety screening and promotes our pledge for Service Excellence.
Accurately records and manages patient procedures to ensure proper billing and operation efficiency.
Participates in teaching and learning opportunities, including orientation of new employees and annual training in‑services.
Contributes to enhancing the Patient Experience by achieving department‑set patient satisfaction scores on the Press Ganey Survey.
Qualifications Education
Graduation from an A.M.A.-approved Radiologic Technology program preferred; MRI board certification required. AS degree preferred, BS degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience or completion of YNHH MRI training program plus MRI Board Certification.
Licensure
ARRT and CT state license preferred; MRI board certification required. CPR Certification preferred.
Special Skills
Proficient in routine MRI imaging techniques, above average knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy, highly developed organizational skills, and timely, effective communication skills.
Physical Demand
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds to assist with patient transfers.
