Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a DC RN license and COVID-19 vaccination.
Responsibilities
Position is in the Labor and Delivery unit of a teaching hospital
Level 1 Trauma facility with 228 staffed beds
Day shifts are 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30
Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
No on-call required
Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
Scrubs are provided
Uses Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, and Kronos for charting
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Team orientation provided in a collaborative, teaching hospital environment
Only one time-off request is permitted
Parking is available for a fee, or accessible by public transportation via the Shaw/Howard University Metro stop and local bus routes
Requirements
Active DC RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
