Job Summary
Mercy Gastroenterology is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible PRN Gastroenterologist to join our GI Hospitalist team at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, a nationally recognized center for patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
Provide care in 12‑hour blocks as needed.
Inpatient and ER coverage only, with an average of 5‑6 inpatient consults per day and associated procedures.
Admit patients with GI consults; act as primary physician for new consults and calls.
Collaborate with a comprehensive team of physicians including surgical oncology, medical oncology, general and interventional GI specialists, IBD specialists, colon and rectal surgeons, and general surgeons.
Deliver care as part of a team that has earned top‑rated status and safety awards.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
PRN availability for GI Hospitalist duties.
Experience with inpatient consults and ER coverage.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
