Introduction IBM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with comprehensive strategic sourcing experience in HR Benefits and HR Services categories. This individual may be asked to support both enterprise-wide and client‑facing engagements by driving cost‑effective, compliant, and innovative sourcing strategies. The ideal candidate is a recognized authority in HR Benefits and HR Services sourcing – someone who sets the tone, drives outcomes, and elevates the sourcing function across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership

Lead end‑to‑end sourcing for HR Benefits and HR Services categories including health & welfare benefits, retirement plans, wellness programs, employee assistance services, talent acquisition, learning & development, and other HR‑related services.

Negotiate complex MSAs, SOWs, and licensing agreements with top‑tier vendors.

Develop and maintain global category strategies and enablement tools to drive sourcing excellence.

Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Serve as a sourcing authority in client and/or stakeholder meetings, workshops, and solutioning sessions.

Present differentiated sourcing capabilities, market insights, and case studies to executive stakeholders.

Build and nurture executive‑level relationships to support business development and account expansion.

Performance & Delivery Excellence

Monitor performance across client accounts and/or internal initiatives.

Ensure delivery against savings targets, SLA adherence, and client satisfaction metrics.

Develop multi‑year transformation plans to elevate procurement maturity across engagements.

Use EPM dashboards and Cognos tools to track sourcing pipeline, savings, and supplier performance.

Capability Development & Team Leadership

Mentor and coach team members to deepen category expertise and sourcing acumen.

Drive knowledge management through case studies, sourcing examples, and best practices.

Demonstrate initiative, accountability and the ability to inspire others.

Preferred Education Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Finance preferred); MBA a plus.

10+ years of strategic sourcing experience, with a strong focus on HR Benefits and HR Services.

Proven success in negotiating complex HR Benefits and HR Services contracts.

Demonstrated experience in leading large, complex negotiations.

Deep understanding of benefits programs (e.g., medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement) and HR services (e.g., recruitment, training, payroll, employee engagement).

Prior experience in consulting or procurement outsourcing with a reputable service provider.

Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

Experience with global benefits sourcing and compliance.

Familiarity with ESG, DEI, and supplier diversity initiatives in the HR space.

Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, SHRM) are a plus.

Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) impacting HR Benefits and HR Services sourcing.
