Lead a varsity football program with emphasis on high performance qualities. Model good sportsmanship, academic excellence, positive attitude, and character. Work effectively with students, parent groups, and the general public. Ensure knowledge of and adherence to coaching techniques, rules and regulations, and relevant psychology as it relates to sports participation. Maintain readiness for emergencies with first aid procedures and CPR/First Aid training. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of all Education Code and Title 5, California Code of Regulations requirements for coaching eligibility. Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training completed or verifiable. CPR/First Aid Training completed or verifiable; knowledge of heat illness and sexual harassment training is preferred. Possession of the Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) or California Teaching Credential. Valid California driver license. Must complete mandatory CIF Coaching Principles training or provide verification of completion. Must apply for ASCC if a teaching credential is not held. Experience
Previous head coaching experience in the sport is desired. Previous high school coaching experience in the sport is desired. Negative TB test within 60 days. Additional Requirements
