Overview Small businesses fuel the global economy. In the U.S. alone, they employ 60% of the workforce and create 80% of new jobs. Yet, the odds are stacked against them: one in two fails within five years. One of the most severe challenges a small business faces is managing their cash flow: balancing inflows and outflows, late customer payments, funding growth, and making payroll, all while hoping there is enough left over for profit or a rainy day.

At QuickBooks, we are building an operating system that allows businesses to get paid faster, access capital, and manage their financial destiny, thereby increasing the survival rate of entrepreneurship globally.

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to spearhead our invoicing and payments strategy for the Mid-Market segment. As our customers scale, their complexity explodes. They need an integrated financial ecosystem that rivals enterprise‑grade solutions. You will own the strategic planning and delivery of integrated Money experiences (Payments and Invoicing) for our most valuable and complex customers. This role demands a visionary leader capable of navigating complex dependencies, influencing executive leadership, and delivering products that process billions of dollars in volume.

Responsibilities

Define the Strategic Vision: Architect and evangelize a compelling multi‑year product strategy for the Mid‑Market payments and invoicing ecosystem, translating complex market insights into a roadmap that positions the company as the industry leader.

Drive Commercial Impact: Own the P&L success metrics for your portfolio, including Mid‑Market acquisition and Total Payments Volume (TPV), while utilizing rigorous data analytics to identify growth levers and optimize the Accounts Receivable experience.

Execute with Excellence: Oversee the end‑to‑end product lifecycle from concept to launch. Balance velocity with enterprise‑grade quality, pressure‑testing designs, managing edge cases, and ensuring delivery matches the ambition of the vision.

Champion the Customer: Serve as the primary voice of the Mid‑Market customer. Conduct deep market research to identify pain points and ensure every feature delivered addresses a critical user need and improves customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

A Strategic Heavyweight: Proven track record (8+ years) in Product Management, specifically within B2B, FinTech, or SaaS, and an understanding of the Mid‑Market mechanics.

An Ambitious Problem Solver: Comfortable with ambiguity and able to turn complex, messy problems into clear, actionable roadmaps.

A Master Communicator: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to navigate organizational complexity and effectively communicate with executive staff and the working team.

Data‑Driven: Use data to prioritize ruthlessly and measure impact rigorously.

Why Join Us?

Impact at Scale: Your work will directly impact the financial health of millions of businesses.

Autonomy: As a Principal PM, you are a business owner within the business.

Culture: Join a team that values high performance, deep empathy, and continuous innovation.
