Base Pay Range $139,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Protection Manager to support the development and implementation of executive protection strategies and solutions for our high-net-worth family. This critical role will ensure the safety and security of family members, staff, and assets, while also overseeing the management of executive protection teams and vendors. The Executive Protection Manager is a key leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing executive protection strategies that ensure safety and security through proactive planning, team leadership, and operational oversight.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive executive protection plans and protocols
Oversee the management of executive protection teams, including advance work, surveillance detection, and security detail operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal security teams, including residential security and global security, to ensure a unified approach
Manage and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and other external partners
Proficient in creating comprehensive advance documents, operational plans, and briefing presentations, ensuring the EP team and stakeholders receive clear, standardized, and actionable information before every movement or trip.
Assist in developing and managing budgets for executive protection systems and projects
Provide training and guidance to executive protection teams on best practices and protocols
Ensure compliance with local regulations, laws, and standards for security and privacy
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in executive protection
Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, including the ability to work closely with family members, staff, vendors, and public safety entities.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in executive protection – family office experience preferred, law enforcement, or military
Proven track record in developing and implementing effective executive protection strategies and solutions
Preferred if experience includes managing operational budgets
Preferred if experience is in a leadership role with direct reports
Expertise in executive protection systems, including advance work, surveillance detection, and security detail operations
Strong understanding of security protocols and standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with family members, staff, and external stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Security, Law Enforcement, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., PPS, CPP, TSCM, EMT) is an asset
Working Conditions
Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
Frequent travel for executive protection operations and training
On-call availability for security incidents and emergencies
Work closely with family members, staff, and external partners, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a security environment, with a focus on executive protection systems and solutions
Compensation The San Francisco Bay Area base pay range for a new hire is $139,000.00 - $195,000.00, which may be adjusted based on location. Actual placement in the range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process. Candidates are also eligible for a performance bonus, travel premiums, and other benefits stipends.
