Overview The Area Vice President-Label Sales is accountable for driving unit growth and achieving quarterly and annual sales targets for Konica Minolta’s label portfolio. This role ensures the organization delivers on its unit commitments by building a disciplined pipeline, accelerating deal progression, and holding the team accountable for execution. The AVP-Label Sales will collaborate across Industrial Print but maintain a sharp focus on closing business and hitting unit numbers.

Responsibilities

Sales & Unit Accountability

Own the unit quota for the Label Business and deliver quarterly and annual targets.

Build and manage a healthy pipeline to support unit goals with clear visibility into Commit, Most Likely, and Upside deals.

Drive accountability for unit installs with weekly pipeline reviews, deal acceleration plans, and rigorous forecasting.

Engage directly on all strategic opportunities to secure wins and ensure installs.

Pipeline Management

Oversee deal progression from lead to close, ensuring velocity and accuracy in Salesforce.

Implement rules of engagement with AVPs and Directors to avoid stalls and keep deals moving.

Ensure every opportunity has ROI analysis, workflow engagement, and executive-level coverage.

Team Leadership & Execution

Key Working Relationships

Area Vice Presidents (AVPs): Collaborate closely with AVPs to ensure alignment on regional strategies, deal progression, and execution discipline.

Sales Directors & Label Specialists: Partner to drive activity levels (appointments, demos, ROI sessions, and customer visits) and to ensure pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined execution.

Marketing Team: Work with Marketing to generate qualified leads, support targeted campaigns, and position Konica Minolta as the leader in digital label printing.

Workflow & Solutions Team: Engage workflow experts early in the sales cycle to validate ROI, optimize customer production processes, and strengthen solution‑based selling.

Executive Leadership (VP of Sales, Industrial Print & Corporate): Align on strategic opportunities, major negotiations, and enterprise‑level customer engagements.

Service & Support Teams: Coordinate with Service leadership to ensure smooth installations, customer satisfaction, and retention of label accounts.

Qualifications

10+ years of sales leadership experience in industrial print, packaging, or related technology.

Demonstrated track record of hitting and exceeding unit quotas.

Strong knowledge of the label printing market and competitive dynamics.

Proven ability to run disciplined pipeline reviews, enforce forecasting hygiene, and close complex deals.

Executive presence to influence C‑level buyers.

Proficiency in Salesforce and data‑driven sales management.

Performance Metrics

Achievement of quarterly and annual unit targets.

Growth in net new customers.

Forecast accuracy and pipeline coverage vs. unit goals.

Install velocity (time from deal to live unit).

Customer satisfaction and retention.
