Base pay range $232,750.00/yr - $325,000.00/yr

Job Description Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Test Integration and Implementation team in Corporate & Investment Banking Technology. You lead multiple technical areas, manage activities of multiple departments, and collaborate across technical domains. Your expertise is applied cross-functionally to drive adoption and implementation of technical methods within various teams and aid the firm in remaining at the forefront of industry trends, best practices, and technological advances.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee US-based teams (regional and site level) within Testing Engineering, Modernization, Automation, Infrastructure Up-Lift Environment, Stability and Resiliency, and Architecture.

Provides high‑level direction while being hands‑on as Design Authority focused on design and architecture of solution delivery

Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, driving consensus across competing objectives and perspectives

Manages multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross‑functional and cross‑product collaborations

Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience

Experience developing or leading large, cross‑functional teams of technologists in engineering

Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale

Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability, modernization and infrastructure uplift

Experience building proofs of concept (POCs) owning the design and driving delivery teams to execute on that vision

Prior track record of contributing to major implementations focused on architecting, designing and modernizing technology uplift environments

Excellent communication skills and technical documentation skills producing White Papers and PowerPoint presentations for senior leaders and stakeholders.

Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

Experience working close to code level (code reviews, ensuring technical delivery is on track, etc.)

Prior experience in Payments Technology strongly preferred
