Overview
We are seeking a Director in Finance, Planning & Analytics (FP&A) to join the Real Estate Finance team and lead the financial management of the firm\'s occupancy expense (approximately $1.9 billion). The role collaborates with the Corporate Services real estate team and supports integration of technology initiatives and model enhancements. This is a Director-level position within the FP&A job family responsible for the firm\'s budget, forecast, internal management reporting and financial analysis to provide insight into current and expected financial performance, including expense allocation. Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm Lead a significant set of deliverables with advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment Proactively identify emerging risks and contribute to mitigation strategies Model and present recommendations to leadership to improve financials and identify savings opportunities for the global corporate real estate portfolio Support strategic decision making with in-depth financial analysis on complex real estate transactions including sale/leaseback, dispositions, consolidations, acquisitions, renewals and subleases Manage multi-year financial plans for Morgan Stanley\'s real estate portfolio in partnership with Corporate Services What You\'ll Bring To The Role
Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment; strong technical skills and industry awareness Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge team efforts Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences and create mitigation plans Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance or related field At least 8 years of relevant experience Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and ability to drill through to root causes Expert level MS Office skills with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel Excellent presentation skills; ability to synthesize data for senior management Strong interpersonal collaboration and cross-functional teamwork; demonstrated flexibility and reliability What You Can Expect From Morgan Stanley
