Your Tasks This role will manage the strategic innovation pipeline development for the Coppertone Sun Care business in the U.S inclusive of claims, portfolio renovation, value engineering, sustainability and new items. This role reports to the Senior Brand Manager, Innovation.
Responsibilities
Partner with Senior Brand Manager to lead development and execution of 3-5+ year consumer centric innovation strategy and pipeline in partnership with consumer insights, global, and R&D.
Lead short term innovation initiatives through stage gate process from concept development & validation to business case through launch, including stages such as financial commitment & FFPR
Collaborate closely with the Commercial Marketing team to manage volumes, timing, and costs associated with new product innovations
Represent innovation projects (in sales meetings, governance meetings, brand leadership meetings) gaining alignment and approval of recommendations
Collaborate with cross functional team (R&D, Market Research, Category Management, Project Management, Trade strategy, etc.) to bring projects from business case ideation through development to preparation for launch
Support US value engineering & sustainability initiatives on new and existing products from ideation through execution
Work with relevant R&D teams packaging, clinical, technical and development
Continuously monitor and share consumer needs/trends, as well as monitor personal care categories to adapt and improve our innovation pipeline
Support development of the brand's annual marketing plans to achieve top line sales, profit and spending objectives
Liaise with Brand Budget Owner and accountability for Innovation POs and budget management
Candidate Profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in brand management on innovation for consumer products. Experience in Skincare, Personal Care or Beauty/Cosmetics a plus. MBA preferred.
Experience in innovation development and translating consumer insights into innovation strategy and concepts. Experience in value engineering.
Strong strategic thinking.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated passion for consumer marketing
Results oriented and a team player. Someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion to drive brand growth.
Must have strong leadership and project management skills.
Must be able to manage complexity, work collaboratively, and in a fast‑paced environment
Strong analytical skills. Experience in forecasting, financial analysis and strong skillset in P&L, SOI, and budget management
Proficient knowledge using IRI/Nielsen.
Experience with BLUE, D2P or other artwork approval program.
