Our client—a rapidly growing, publicly traded company in the Oil & Gas sector—is seeking a
Financial Reporting Analyst
to take full ownership of all SEC and public company compliance filings. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role for someone with deep knowledge of financial reporting requirements and a passion for accuracy, transparency, and timeliness.
This is not just another reporting role—you will be the go‑to expert for all external financial reporting, including the preparation and submission of 10‑Ks, 10‑Qs, and 8‑Ks. Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of
SEC filings
including 10‑Ks, 10‑Qs, 8‑Ks, and other required disclosures, ensuring compliance with
SEC, FASB, and US GAAP
standards.
Coordinate all aspects of the
external reporting calendar , including timelines, reviews, internal approvals, and audit readiness.
Work closely with
internal accounting, legal, investor relations, and executive teams
to ensure accuracy and consistency across all public disclosures.
Draft and maintain
financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A sections
of public filings.
Interface with external auditors and legal counsel to support audit processes and public filings.
Ensure
SOX compliance
as it relates to financial reporting processes and internal controls.
Continuously monitor and implement
new accounting standards and SEC regulations , preparing technical memos as needed.
Assist with
earnings release
preparation and other investor communications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field ; CPA strongly preferred.
2+ years
of experience in financial reporting, ideally within a
public company
or Big 4 environment.
Strong working knowledge of
SEC reporting requirements, US GAAP, and SOX compliance .
Prior experience with
EDGAR filings ,
Workiva , or other financial reporting tools is a plus.
Exceptional
attention to detail , organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently across departments and with senior leadership.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
and experience with
ERP systems
and
financial consolidation tools .
