This role will be based near one of our offices in New York, Austin, Los Angeles, or Oakland and will play a critical role in defining digital experience platform architecture, technology strategy, and the design and implementation of client initiatives.

About the Role The role will be part of a collaborative team that co‑creates and designs innovative solutions for our current and prospective clients. The Sr. Director will play a critical role in defining digital experience platform architecture, technology strategy, software and technical architecture, and the design and implementation of clients’ initiatives. Solutions will encompass a broad range of technologies and platforms within the Digital Experience Platforms landscape, especially with CMS, CEP, Marketing Automation, CDP, and analytics‑heavy solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Strategic planning: Developing phased roadmaps that align with client strategy, industry standards, and technical requirements.

Solution design: Architecting cross‑solution strategies that integrate technologies to meet client goals and enhance digital marketing performance.

Client advisory: Serving as a technical and strategic advisor, providing guidance on digital marketing strategies and helping clients make informed decisions.

Pre‑Sales Consulting: Partnering with our Sales team to help grow the organization.

Technical leadership: Leading complex, large‑scale solution implementations and breaking down complex strategies into actionable requirements.

Cross‑functional collaboration: Working with technical leads, product teams, and partners to ensure successful deployment and alignment with customer needs.

Knowledge sharing: Contributing to the consulting practice by developing and sharing best practices, methodologies, and templates.

Communicate: Articulating the transition from current to future state, considering future business needs, security policies, and requirements. Breaking down complex business and technical strategies and roadmaps into consumable requirements for teams to execute against.

Estimation: Participating in discovery of technical project requirements, scope, and providing recommendations for phased program delivery. Creating or contributing to project delivery estimations based on your recommendations and providing realistic level of effort estimations.

Your Experience & Intangible Traits:

15+ years of aggregate experience in digital technologies, including architecting and developing large‑scale web applications.

5+ years of hands‑on experience implementing Acquia/Drupal, Sitecore, Optimizely, Adobe, or similar Digital Experience Platforms or Marketing Automation.

5+ years of experience in client‑facing technology consulting and pre‑sales roles.

Ability to methodically estimate technology execution scope of work in terms of budget and resources.

Knowledge of current digital marketing trends and best practices on topics such as personalization, cross‑channel marketing, mobile, data‑driven optimization of experiences.

Ability to define conceptual technology solution and articulate the value of technology to drive creative marketing platforms and present technology solutions to both technical and non‑technical clients.

Ability to translate client goals into achievable technical specifications.

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, management information systems, mathematics or equivalent.

Experience with any of the following would be relevant to the role and considered a plus:

Experience developing modern applications using cloud‑native abilities of AWS or Azure.

Hands‑on experience implementing complex customer journeys, personalization, and targeted customer offerings through use of CDPs, data lakes and analytics solutions, which extend or integrate with digital experience platforms.

Experience designing and/or implementing Commercetools, Magento, Shopify or similar e‑commerce platforms.

Experience with any of the following: Treasure Data, mParticle, Braze, VWO, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, AEP, AJO.

Experience with generative AI supported solutions, RAG, and cloud‑native Gen AI tools such as AWS Bedrock or Azure AI services is a plus.

Pay Range:

$150,000.00 – $188,000.00.
