Registered Nurse – CCU (24 Hours, 7a-7p)
Schedule: 24 Hours, 7a-7p, Rotating Weekends
Position Summary The Critical Care RN assumes full responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to patients and their family members. Responsibilities include health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning, comfort, restoration of optimal functioning, and dignified death assistance. The RN may delegate nursing activities within the Nurse Practice Act and based on competency. Care is individualized for all age groups, addressing impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and abuse victims. The RN incorporates patient rights, mission, vision, and values into practice.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); must obtain BSN within 4 years.
Experience: Minimum 3 years critical care experience or completion of GSMC transition to Critical Care course; must maintain required competencies for CCU setting.
Certification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS, ACLS, TCAR or TNCC.
