Base pay range $35.51/hr – $51.81/hr

UMMC Midtown Campus is a 180‑bed community teaching hospital located in Baltimore’s cultural center, near Mount Vernon. It focuses on chronic disease management and serves a diverse patient population.

Job Description

Provides independent care to unit‑specific patient population; serves as a clinical resource for others, utilizing evidence‑based practice, and functions in roles such as arrest team for ICU or triage for ED.

Serves as an effective primary coordinating nurse, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care addressing patient/family needs.

Assists in team development and evaluation of the Relationship‑Based Care model; suggests improvements and participates in data collection related to outcomes (e.g., hand‑offs, medication safety).

Participates in implementation efforts addressing Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators (NSQI).

Qualifications

Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice via Compact agreements; BSN preferred. Must maintain up‑to‑date status on all mandatory training and classes.

One year of nursing experience, with solid knowledge and clinical skills.

Current CPR certification required.

Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.

Compensation

Pay Range: $35.51 – $51.81 per hour.
