Placement within the salary range is dependent on factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. Learns and applies echocardiograph techniques to competently perform commonly used procedures according to set protocols established by cardiologists. Develops proficiency in M-mode, two-dimensional, planar Doppler blood flow studies, 3D echocardiography, Exercise and Dobutamine Stress tests, and measurements of chamber size and wall thickness. Performs procedures within designated time frames to maintain the daily schedule and minimize patient wait times, cancellations, or reschedules. Coordinates communication between referring physicians, departmental staff, nursing units, and hospital staff to facilitate patient flow, transportation, scheduling, supply replenishment, and equipment maintenance. Maintains knowledge of laboratory protocols and measurement techniques for echocardiography, including M-mode, 2D, Doppler, 3D echo, and Stress Echoes. Qualifications
Required:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Preferred:
CPR – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS) Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences Minimum of two years performing Echocardiography exams Physical Demands: lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds Benefits
