Clinical Lab Scientist - Nights at UCSF Health Job Summary: Performs test procedures in Microbiology. Transcribes and reports test results (manually and automated). Operates laboratory instrumentation and equipment to accurately generate test results. Initiates troubleshooting of errant laboratory instrumentation and equipment as needed. Follows established quality control procedures and participates in all related tasks in the section. Must be able to work in a high-volume setting. Clinical Lab - Microbiology Full Time 87161BR The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $68.81 - $85.71 per hour with $11.00 shift differential. Responsibilities
Perform test procedures in Microbiology and transcribe/report test results (manually and automated).
Operate laboratory instrumentation and equipment to generate accurate test results.
Initiate troubleshooting of errant instrumentation and equipment as needed.
Follow established quality control procedures and participate in all associated tasks in the section.
Work in a high-volume setting.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree
Recent experience performing clinical lab testing
Preferred Qualifications
Recent experience in a high-volume laboratory doing clinical laboratory testing in Microbiology
Prefer experience with current automation used in a clinical laboratory
License/Certification
California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license,
California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist license, or
California Public Health Microbiologist Certification
