What You’ll Do This role combines business development, sales, trading and procurement. You’ll learn how to identify market opportunities, negotiate with suppliers, and build relationships with customers all while mastering the tools and data systems that power Parchem’s trading operations.
Key Responsibilities
Source and negotiate the purchase of specialty chemicals and raw materials from global suppliers
Support senior traders and customers in identifying new products, suppliers, and market opportunities
Build and manage relationships with customers, providing accurate quotes and timely follow‑ups
Monitor pricing trends, market conditions, and inventory positions to support trading decisions
Coordinate with logistics, compliance, and customer service teams to ensure successful and compliant shipments
Prepare and maintain accurate data in CRM and ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus)
Assist in analyzing profitability, trade margins, and supply chain performance
Handle documentation and coordination for import/export transactions as needed
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business , or related field
1–3 years
of professional experience in sales, trading, purchasing, or supply chain; internships or early‑career roles in the chemical industry are a major plus
Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM/ERP systems and tools such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, or Apollo is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication; confident and professional demeanor
Someone who takes initiative and is highly motivated
