Base Pay Range $19.00/hr – $19.00/hr (pay will be based on skills and experience)

Position Summary The tasting room associate is the main connector between guests and the Ballast Point brand, responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service, sales, and an outstanding guest experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Greet every customer with a smile and inviting welcome, thanking them for visiting and inviting them back.

Share information about Ballast Point craft beer and food offerings, answering guest questions and making menu recommendations.

Follow our Steps of Service to ensure all food and beverages are delivered with exceptional care and observe the dining experience for satisfaction.

Demonstrate knowledge of ABC laws for legal sale of alcohol by verifying guest identification and responsibly serving alcohol.

Maintain and uphold brand and safety standards for the bar, restaurant, patio, private dining rooms, and bathrooms, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.

Remove dirty or unneeded glassware and plates from customers' tables and keep floors and seating areas free of trash and debris.

Operate the POS system (Aloha) for sale of food, beer, and merchandise.

Contribute as a valuable, respectful team member by communicating effectively and driving process and service improvements.

What You'll Need

Passion for food and craft beer.

Minimum age of 21.

Part‑time availability.

Extensive knowledge and ability to talk about the flavors and profiles of Ballast Point beer and food.

Strong teamwork, communication, and task‑completion skills that meet Ballast Point standards.

Positive attitude, outgoing personality, and people skills.

Ability to multitask, problem‑solve, manage time effectively, and adapt to guest needs and flow of the restaurant.

Current RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate.

Current Food Handlers Certificate.

Cicerone Certified Beer Server Certificate preferred.

POS (Point of Sale) system experience preferred.

Reliable transportation.

Schedule flexibility (nights, weekends, holidays) preferred.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Perform essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.

Work for 8 hours standing, walking, and remaining on feet.

Frequently talk or hear and use taste and smell senses.

Continuously reach, push, pull, bend, lift, carry, and wipe.

Frequently wash hands and handle cleaning products.

Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Frequently manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to cut, measure, pour, serve, carry, and wipe.

Frequently use close and distance vision and adjust focus between them.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $19.18
