About the Role
Bohler’s Melville, NY office is seeking a Design Engineer who’s ready to grow, take on new challenges, and be part of a collaborative team shaping the future of land development across the greater Long Island area. In this role, you’ll support site design projects from concept to completion, working closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to create practical, buildable, and creative solutions.
What You’ll Do
Assist in the preparation of site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plans
Conduct research, prepare reports, and support due diligence investigations
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver coordinated design packages
Perform design calculations and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Support permitting efforts with local and state agencies
Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to help solve engineering challenges

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
0–3 years of experience in land development design (internship or full‑time)
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic engineering design principles
Attention to detail and curiosity to learn new tools and methods
Effective communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills
Pay Transparency Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience. The base pay range for this role is $75,000 – $90,000 per year.
