We are seeking WorkDay Platform Engineers excited to develop highly‑resilient, fundamentally‑sound objects to support Capital One’s core Finance technology.

General Responsibilities

Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.

Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating Finance value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business.

Deliver solutions in Workday platform across the Finance modules of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards.

Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with Finance partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.

Continually research, test and stay up‑to‑date on Workday Technology & Platform updates, fixes and capabilities.

Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation & maintenance.

Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective.

Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.

At least 4 years of Workday platform engineering experience.

At least 2 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions.

At least 2 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree.

5+ years of experience working with Workday platform across the Workday Finance modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers).

3+ years of experience designing and developing integration solutions in Workday.

3+ years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP.

Workday Integration Developer certifications.

1+ years designing and developing solutions using Workday Extend.

1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or another cloud service.

2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Salary ranges:

Cambridge, MA: $127,500 - $145,500

Chicago, IL: $115,900 - $132,200

McLean, VA: $127,500 - $145,500

New York, NY: $139,100 - $158,700

Plano, TX: $115,900 - $132,200

Richmond, VA: $115,900 - $132,200

San Francisco, CA: $139,100 - $158,700

San Jose, CA: $139,100 - $158,700
