As Assistant Manager you oversee all operations during your shift, ensuring cost control, inventory, cash handling, and customer relations meet company policy. Responsibilities
Responsible for everything that happens during the shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. Set the example for all staff and enforce company policies and procedures 100% of the time. Handle staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, scheduling, image standards, customer service, attendance & punctuality, transportation, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. Operate all equipment. Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler. Prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Training & Skill Requirements
Orientation and training are provided on the job. Communication Skills
– Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person. Essential Functions/Skills
– Add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator); make correct monetary change; verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing; motor coordination between eyes and hands to make precise movements; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Work Conditions & Physical Demands
Varying and sometimes adverse weather, in‑store temperatures 36–90°F+, hot surfaces up to 500°F, exposure to cornmeal dust and food odors, cramped quarters, and moving mechanical parts. Requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, and eye‑hand coordination. Driver Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; access to an insured vehicle. Deliver product by car, deliver flyers and door hangers; navigate adverse terrain and multi‑story buildings. Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older. Proficiency in basic math and quick mental calculations. Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to lift, carry and move equipment and products. Physical stamina to walk, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods. Seniority Level
