Base Pay Range $41.00/hr - $91.00/hr
Location & Employment On-site - Wheatfield, IN Duration: one year contract‑to‑hire Employment type: Contract
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Electric Generation, Heavy Industrial, or Gas Fired Combustion Turbines
Experience managing large complex projects that combine internal/external and labor/non-labor cost components
Experience building combined cycle or simple cycle power plants
Experience building or managing heavy industrial work
Preferred General Contracting experience with a leadership role
Knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and related disciplines
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and related schedule, cost, burn curve analysis
Skilled in constructability, installation, and execution knowledge
Ability to manage OEM contract documents, scope, schedule and commercial tasks
Experience interpreting, drafting, and managing change orders, contract notices, etc.
Strong leadership and coaching skills, able to develop and lead a diverse project team
Ability to engage executive sponsors and stakeholders with clarity and precision
Experience with project cost management and resource capacity planning
Implementation of change management approaches for projects
BS in Construction Management, Engineering or related preference
Responsibilities
Report to the designated base of operation and support the project at minimum 5 days per week
Support execution, contract management, and project timelines with fluctuating working hours
Assist the Lead Project Manager in all assigned tasks and act as first line of defense for commercial/technical actions
Handle Change Orders, Notices, Pay Applications, Schedule of Values and Cash Flow issues
Develop Non‑Conformance reports, support quality control and safety
Prepare monthly leadership reports and presentations
Maintain and communicate contract documents, mitigate risk, and resolve disputes
Prepare RFPs and bid evaluations for labor, material, specialty services
Monitor contract performance and update commercial terms as needed
Use tools for forecasting, planning, estimating, and tracking delivery and budget
Perform risk assessment and management activities
Ensure contract adherence to performance, cost, scope, schedule and quality standards
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
Create clear documentation and visual aids for complex concepts
Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and serve as a teamwork role‑model
Assign and monitor team work efforts
